Start of Mayo League season------The L.M.C. have decided to start the season on the weekend of 23rd/24th March and not 3rd March as originally notified.

The reason for this is that the Connacht Cup Rd 4 and Connacht Shield Rd 3 is now fixed for 10th March and not 24th February as previously stated.

This is a last 16 round, there are 4 Mayo Clubs (possibly 5) in the cup and 3 in the shield. With that many involved we could not have a round of league matches on 10th March, we have already decided that the weekend of 17th March will be free. Having taken all that into consideration we feel it's better to start our own league on the weekend of 23rd/24th March.
