The Lotto is one of Westport United’s most important fundraisers and plays a vital role in helping to meet the ever-increasing costs of running a club with over 750 members. Every ticket sold helps provide facilities, equipment and opportunities for all of our players.
When completing membership at the start of the season, many members kindly selected that they were available to undertake Lotto duty. The Lotto spreadsheet is open at all times, giving everyone the opportunity to choose dates that suit them. Where no dates are selected, the club allocates nights based on the commitment made during the membership process.
We appreciate that plans can change and that unforeseen circumstances arise. However, we would kindly ask that, if you are allocated a Lotto night, you make every effort to attend or let us know in advance if you are unable to do so. There have been a small number of occasions this year where volunteers have not attended, leaving one person to cover the town alone. This is difficult for those who regularly give up their time and support the club.
If you no longer wish to be included on the Lotto rota, please let us know by contacting westportunitedsec@gmail.com so we can update our records. Otherwise, we would really appreciate everyone honouring the commitment they made at the start of the season by attending their allocated night or arranging a swap if they are unavailable.
As a reminder, the Lotto levy will be refunded once your allocated Lotto duty has been completed.
