Following that famous 1-0 win against Usher Celtic, the focus now reverts back to the Connaught Cup and another huge game in United Park, this time against last season’s finalists, Carbury FC from Sligo.

United refocused following the FAI Junior Cup tie and have been intensely concentrating on this hugely important knockout match with intensive preparations. It has to be said that both sides are no strangers to each other; they both met in the Connaught Champions League Cup semi final last August with Carbury edging the match 2-1.

The club is once again appealing to the Red and Black Army to come out in huge numbers like the FAI Junior Cup match as the vocal support really drove on the players in the last game and they appreciate the same level of encouragement once again.
