This Sunday sees the Trip to Tipp as Westport United travel to the spiritual home of the GAA, Thurles to take on Peake Villa in the last 16 of the FAI Junior Cup.

This has the makings of a very tough tie as Peake Villa are masters of reaching the latter stages of the FAI Junior Cup on a consistent basis over many years and have a very strong reputation in Tipperary and Munster football.

While United lost to Carbury FC in the Connaught Cup, they come into this tie on the back of very impressive wins against Manulla, Ballinasloe Town and Usher Celtic and some very impressive performances to back their results.

A large crowd is expected to travel to the Tower Road venue in Thurles and they will be adding to the atmosphere to drive the lads forward as they are looking to book their first quarter final appearance in the competition since 2005.
