There has been loads of tantalising underage cup games in recent weeks between the Sports Park and United Park and more big cup football comes to the Golf Course Road venue this Saturday as the U.13’s takes on Clonee United in the last 16 of the Skechers SFAI Cup, and they are looking forward to a great game of football.

Westport comes into the tie on the back of a great 5-2 win against Bridge United in the previous round and they will be looking to impress further but they are likely to face a very stern test.

Clonee United have reached this point on the virtue of big wins against Bellurgan FC from Dundalk, Parkvilla from Navan and Duleek FC from Meath and advanced to this stage with a 3-1 win away to Clare hotshots, Avenue United in Ennis.

While Westport have a deserved reputation as Connaught U.12 Cup holders, Clonee United FC are a very good side from a very strong NDSL and they cannot be taken lightly and the home team will have to be at their best to earn themselves a place in the quarter final.

Kick off at United Park on Saturday is at 2:00 and a large crowd is expected to attend this captivating cup tie and every bit of support would be appreciated.
