Westport United took on NDSL outfit, Clonee United at United Park for the right to reach the quarter final of the Skechers SFAI Cup in what turned out to be a tough tie.

It was a game between two very good teams and Westport didn't have it all their ways as Clonee made them work very hard, especially so in the second half. Westport did play quality football and it paid dividends as the hosts battled to a 3-1 victory against strong opponents.

United are now rewarded with a spot in the quarter final and one of the teams that Westport could draw is Castlebar Celtic. If that's the pairing, this could be a mouthwatering clash.
