It was another big weekend for our underage sides as they were looking to take another step forward in national competition.

The U.14 Girls travelled to Mervue for the right to be in the final of the WFAI U.14 Girls Cup and they came up against a top quality side. Westport United gave an unbelievably amazing account of themselves and never gave up but Mervue were just too good for the girls on the day.

The U.14s travelled to Kilcullen AFC for their Skeckers SFAI Cup last 16 tie and put in an excellent performance against their Kildare opponents. Kilcullen never gave up and kept plugging away at the Westport United defence but Westport United were just too good for Kilcullen, registering a very comfortable win to set up a mouth-watering quarter final home tie against Shamrock Rovers in the competition.
