Two members of Westport United who passed away in recent months are due to be remembered at the Aviva Stadium this Tuesday evening.
The late Ollie Gannon and Adam Mulchrone will be remembered along with other deceased members of the national footballing family prior to the Republic of Ireland v Georgia match with a minute's applause, something that has been a feature at Republic of Ireland home internationals at recent times. Both men will also be acknowledged on the match programme for Tuesday evening.
Ollie Gannon, a former Club Chairman and underage manager, passed away last November following an illness that was bravely and courageously fought while Adam Mulchrone, an integral member of the junior team passed away in January following a brief , just over 24 hours after having trained with his team mates.
Representatives of the Gannon and Mulchrone are likely to be in attendance at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday evening to remember their deceased family members.
