The U.16 Girls were in really hard luck in the WFAI U.16 Girls Regional Semi Final as they were defeated by an excellent Mervue United side in virtually the last kick of the match in extra time. It was cruel on the girls since they were more than a match against their illustrious Galway opponents in a very even contest. The final score was 2-1 to Mervue United.
