Since the COVID-19 pandemic began back in March, Westport United have consistently followed and implemented guidelines as issued by the Government, NPHET and the FAI and following on from the recommendations from the three aforementioned bodies, the committee has come to the decision of allowing our underage teams to continue training. But there are strict guidelines to follow for all teams that train:

1. Training in pods of 15 ONLY(inclusive of coaches)

2. Training is Non-Contact.

3. Only training pitches where Westport Utd have carried out risk assessments can be used ( Sports Park, McConville Park, the Point and Rice College).

4. Facilities where a COVID-19 Risk Assessment has not been carried out by Westport United can not be used.

5. Every coach must download the ClubZap app on their phone and use this tool going forward for contacting their groups & filling in attendance records for each training session.

6. Every team must ensure that the kids' parents download the ClubZap app also, so that they can reply to coaches about training, and that they can fill out COVID 19 forms for each training session (these forms have to be maintained electronically going forward).

We appreciate that there are a lot of changes, but these steps are essential in maintaining our members safety and well-being in these unprecedented times. Thanks for all your help and understanding, and stay safe & healthy.
