Westport United are delighted to show off the brand new defibrillator housed on the outer wall of United park. This essential piece of equipment is positioned to benefit both the football club and the local community in the event of its use ever being needed. Following on from the events that happened during Euro 2021 we cannot underestimate the importance of the availability of such Life saving equipment.
Westport United would like to thank local Councillors Christy Hyland, John O’Malley and Brendan Mulroy for their kind contributions and assistance in obtaining the device.
We would also like to thank Eoin Cunningham of Cunningham civil and marine and also Sean Joyce Electrician for their services during the installation.
Pictured at the unveiling of the De-fib for the Community at Westport United’s Home ground of United Park are Councillor’s Christy Hyland and John O’Malley Chairman Stephen Duffy, Electrician and Club Volunteer Sean Joyce and Club secretary Claire Reilly.
